An overview of the auction

This year marks an exciting new chapter for Hala Tree as we launch our first-ever coffee auction - a curated showcase of our most distinctive and exceptional lots. As a farmer-owned company rooted in the heart of Kona, we’ve always been driven by a desire to raise the bar for what our region can produce. This auction gives us the opportunity to share our most expressive coffees with a global audience, highlight the diversity of flavor possible in Kona, and challenge ourselves to keep evolving beyond the familiar.

The nine lots on offer represent a wide spectrum of innovation and craftsmanship. You’ll find yeast-inoculated fermentations, carefully controlled naturals and honeys, and standout examples of our classic washed process - all crafted with precision and care. We’ve also included some varieties not commonly associated with Kona, such as Maragogype and Pink Bourbon, alongside elevated expressions of the more traditional Red Bourbon and Kona Typica, representing the very best of our farm’s traditional roots.

More than just a sale, this auction is a celebration of experimentation, quality, and the hard-earned potential of Kona coffee. Whether you’re looking to secure a one-of-a-kind microlot or explore the future of Hawaiian coffee, we invite you to taste the potential of this exciting origin.
